DIY make your own beaded necklace

What's more fun than a beaded necklace? A self-made bead necklace! Yes, you heard it right! From now on you can make the nicest necklaces yourself. In this blog I will explain how you can do that.

First of all, order your favorite color or color mix. You can also choose gold, silver beads and pearls.

When you have received your package, it will contain the following supplies:

Beads in the color of your choice
1 closure
2 rings
3 crimp beads
an extension chain
a piece of wire

What you still have or need to buy are flat-nose pliers and cutting pliers. You can often buy these at the hardware store, the promotion or online.

Step 1:
Thread 1 crimp bead and the clasp onto the wire. Make a small loop and thread it back through the crimp bead. Squeeze the crimp bead closed with the flat nose pliers.

Step 2:
Thread all the beads onto the wire in the order you like.

Step 3:
If the chain is the right length (I always check this by pretending to put the chain on) you can close it.

Step 4:
Finally, close the chain by threading a crimp bead onto the wire. Then you also thread the ring with the extension chain onto the wire. Now make another loop like you did in the first step. Thread the end back through the crimp bead and through the other beads (if this is too long, you can cut off a piece of the thread). If the loop is small enough, squeeze the crimp bead properly.

Tadaaa.. there is your self-made necklace.
